ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Chemistry is the science that deals with the study of the properties, structure and composition of substances; the transformations they undergo, and the energy that is released during these processes. The MSc colleges in Bareilly are setting themselves apart in the education system by providing the best education in the industry.

A pervasive subject, Chemistry finds its interdisciplinary applications in other areas such as biology, technology, pharmacy, geology, aerospace, etc. Chemistry is essential to meet our needs of food, clothing, shelter, health, energy, clean air, water and environment. The requirement for trained Chemistry professionals is increasing in various industries due to the vast applications of Chemistry in multifarious industrial works.

The two-year Master of Science in Chemistry programme offered by the Department of Applied Science & Humanities trains students to conduct practical experiments and undertake research and innovation while they handle sophisticated instruments in the lab. The subjects that comprise the curriculum of this course include Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, Physical and Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Catalysts, Surfaces and Interfaces, Advanced Analytical Instrumental Methods, Heterocyclic and Bio-molecular Chemistry, and Chemistry of Organic Compounds. In the second year of the course, the students take on electives that help them specialize from among the four possible tracks of Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry.

Practical work, which forms a large component of the second year of the course, is done in the four specialist track areas, and in bio-compounds and chemical catalysts. The lab work is an extensive part of the curriculum and students are encouraged to look to innovative ideas to bring forth nascent research work. Industry visits, mentorship by academics and professionals, research in association with companies and invited professional talks are an essential element of the two years syllabus. For MSc admission 2024, Invertis University is the right destination for the candidates.
