Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities
Laboratories in Applied Sciences & Humanities Department:
The department has experimental facilities at UG, PG & Research levels. The departmental laboratories are a state-of-the –art establishments developed in sync with Invertis University’s commitment to keep pace with the best. The facilities in the laboratories are annually reviewed and new additions of latest instruments and technologies are continuously made. To accommodate the rich collection of facilities and cater to the needs of our students and faculty, the department features completely independent & self-contained 2 Laboratories for Physical Sciences, 2 for Chemical Sciences, 2 for Mathematical & Computational Sciences, one for Biological Sciences, one for Psychology and one language lab for Professional Communication.
ASH Laboratories

The Physics Laboratory is equipped with advanced instruments for experiments in optics, electronics, solid-state physics, and electromagnetism. Students perform practical work using CRO, interferometers, Hall effect apparatus, and semiconductor setups. The lab strengthens conceptual understanding through precise measurement techniques and hands-on experimentation, supporting undergraduate, postgraduate, and research-level learning aligned with modern scientific standards.

The Psychology Laboratory is equipped with standardized tools for assessing intelligence, personality, memory, perception, and emotional states. Students conduct experiments using instruments such as intelligence testing kits, depth perception apparatus, memory drum, and illusion setups. The lab promotes scientific understanding of human behavior through controlled experimentation, data analysis, and psychological assessment techniques at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The Life Sciences Laboratory provides practical exposure to cell biology, microbiology, and basic biotechnology techniques. Equipped with microscopes, centrifuges, and essential laboratory instruments, it enables students to perform experiments in specimen analysis, staining, and sample preparation. The lab emphasizes accuracy, safety, and experimental skills, supporting undergraduate and postgraduate learning as well as foundational research activities.

The MATLAB facility supports numerical computation, data analysis, algorithm development, and simulation-based learning. Students use MATLAB for matrix operations, modeling, signal processing, control systems, and graphical visualization. The lab enhances problem-solving and programming skills through real-time simulations and project-based applications, preparing students for research, engineering design, and industry-oriented analytical tasks.
