Pre-Arrival Information for International Students
Before departing from your home country, please ensure that you have completed the following important steps for a smooth transition to Invertis University, Bareilly, India.
Travel Arrangements:
Invertis University is conveniently located just a few hours’ drive from Delhi International Airport. Students are advised to book their flight to Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi) after obtaining a valid Student Visa from the Indian Embassy or High Commission in their country.
Vaccinations & Health Precautions:
Ensure that you have received all the necessary vaccinations such as Yellow Fever, Typhoid, and Hepatitis before travelling to India. This will help you stay healthy and avoid any medical complications during your stay.
Airport Pickup Assistance:
Inform the International Admission Office of Invertis University at least two weeks prior to your arrival for airport pickup arrangements. Please share your flight details and arrival time to help us coordinate your reception smoothly.
Essential Documents:
Carry your Admission Letter issued by Invertis University, along with original academic certificates, degrees, transcripts, and at least 15 passport-size photographs. These will be required for university registration and other formalities.
Financial Preparation:
You can bring money in the form of Traveller’s Cheques or use International Debit/Credit Cards, which are widely accepted in India. Currency exchange facilities are available at the airport, banks, and foreign exchange offices.
Weather & Clothing:
The temperature in Bareilly ranges from 30°C to 45°C during summers and 5°C to 25°C during winters. Winter season generally begins around November, so it is advisable to carry warm clothing such as woolens, quilts, or blankets.
Personal Essentials:
Although everything is easily available in India, you are encouraged to carry the items you might need for your first few days. Most essentials can be purchased from the nearby markets within 5 km of the campus.
Electrical Appliances:
The electrical standard in India is 240V, and sockets are generally 2 or 3 pin types. Please bring a universal adapter or converter if your mobile, laptop, or other devices operate on a different voltage or plug type.

Post-Arrival Information for International Students
After arriving in India, international students are requested to follow the below guidelines to ensure a smooth arrival and registration process at Invertis University, Bareilly.
Airport Pickup Assistance:
Upon your arrival at Delhi International Airport, Invertis University will arrange airport pickup for students who have shared their flight details in advance with the International Admission Department.
Note: Taxi or transportation charges from the airport to the university campus will be borne by the student.
Reporting at the University:
On reaching the campus, students must report to the International Admission Department (IRD) with all the required original documents and interact with the reporting officer for the upcoming process.
Document Verification & Other Formalities:
The International Admission Department staff will verify your documents. After verification, the staff will provide you the Indian SIM, after this Form S and Form C will be filled out and it will be submitted to the e-FRRO portal.
Visa Registration (FRRO/FRO):
As per Indian government regulations, it is mandatory for all international students (except those from Nepal and Bhutan) to register their Student Visa at the FRRO/FRO office within 14 days of arrival. The Invertis University International Admission Department will guide and assist you through this process.
Responsibility of Documentation:
It is the student’s responsibility to complete all documentation and registration formalities within the stipulated time. Delay in reporting or submission may lead to a fine or administrative penalty.
Visa Guidelines for International Students
Please follow the below visa-related instructions carefully to ensure smooth processing and compliance during your stay at Invertis University, Bareilly.
Student Visa Application:
Once your Admission Letter / Visa Letter has been issued by Invertis University, you should immediately apply for a Student Visa at the Indian Embassy or High Commission in your country.
Visa Endorsement:
Ensure that your Student Visa is endorsed to Invertis University, Bareilly. A visa issued in the name of another institution will not be accepted for admission.
Visa Application Timeline:
Apply for your visa well in advance, as the process may take 3 to 8 weeks. It is strongly recommended to contact the Indian High Commission/Embassy for updated information and processing timelines.
Change of Institution Policy:
Change of University or Institution is not permitted on the same visa. If you wish to change your institution, you will be required to return to your home country and apply for a new Student Visa endorsed to Invertis University.
Reporting Requirement:
Students who enter India on a Student Visa endorsed to Invertis University must report directly to the university upon arrival.
Visa Usage Restrictions:
The visa issued for Invertis University cannot be used for:
- Employment or internship purposes
- Admission to any other university, college, or academy
- Enrolling in distance or online education programs
Visa Verification on Arrival:
After arriving on campus, students must get their visa verified by the International Admission Department and submit a copy of the valid visa for university records.
Visa Validity Responsibility:
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that their visa remains valid throughout their study period at Invertis University. Students with expired or invalid visas will not be allowed to continue their studies or stay in India.
FRRO / FRO Registration & Visa Extension
As per Indian Government regulations, all international students (except those from Nepal and Bhutan) must complete FRRO/FRO registration and maintain valid visa status during their stay in India.
Mandatory Registration:
As per Indian government regulations, all international students (except those from Nepal and Bhutan) must register their Student Visa at the FRRO/FRO Office within 14 days of arrival in India.
University Assistance:
The International Admission Department of Invertis University will provide full guidance and assistance to students throughout the FRO/FRRO registration process.
Online Application:
All international students (except those from Nepal and Bhutan) must fill out the online application for obtaining the Registration Certificate (RC) and Residential Permit (RP) immediately after their arrival in India.
Visa Extension:
If your initial visa does not cover the entire duration of your academic program, or if you need additional time to complete your course, you must apply for a visa extension before your current visa expires.
Services Available at FRO/FRRO:
Students can apply for the following services through the Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) in Noida or the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in New Delhi:
- Visa Extension for continuing studies
- Residence Permit (RP) Extension
- Change of Address
- Change of Course or Institution
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) for traveling outside India

The International Relations Department of Invertis University will guide you at every step of the visa and FRRO/FRO registration process. However, it is the student’s personal responsibility to complete these requirements within the stipulated time to avoid penalties or visa-related issues.
Guidelines for Medical Treatment under University Insurance Scheme
Invertis University students who are covered under the University Insurance Scheme can avail medical services at Mission Hospital, Bareilly, as per the following guidelines.
1. Eligibility for Insurance Benefits:
Students of Invertis University who have paid the annual insurance premium of USD 175 for the current academic session are eligible to receive medical services at Mission Hospital under this scheme. To avail of these benefits, students must present a valid Invertis University Identity Card at the hospital, either upon direct arrival or through referral by the University.
2. Transportation Charges:
Students utilizing Invertis University's transportation services to reach Mission Hospital are required to pay a round-trip transportation fee of INR 300 at the Invertis University Fees Counter.
3. Priority Services:
All Invertis University students and employees will be given priority at Mission Hospital in the following areas:
- Outpatient Department (OPD) consultations
- Admission procedures
- Access to the pharmacy
- Diagnostic tests and procedures
4. Inpatient Department (IPD) – Hospitalization Coverage:
In case of hospitalization, the insurance scheme covers all hospital-related expenses, including diagnostic tests, up to a maximum of INR 15,000. Any charges exceeding this amount must be borne by the student. However, a 20% discount will be applicable on the amount exceeding the covered limit.
5. Medicine Costs:
All medications prescribed or required during OPD or IPD treatment must be purchased directly by the student from the hospital’s medical store. Students will receive a 10% discount on the total medicine bill.
6. Exclusions – Outsourced Services:
Expenses related to services provided by outsourced doctors or external diagnostic organizations will not be reimbursed under this insurance policy.
7. OPD Coverage:
Charges related to OPD consultations and diagnostic tests or procedures advised during OPD visits are fully covered up to a limit of INR 5,000. For any expenses exceeding this limit, the student will be required to pay the difference. A 20% discount will be provided on the amount exceeding the covered limit.
8. Assistance During Hospital Admission:
If a student arrives at Mission Hospital for admission without an accompanying attendant, a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) student may be assigned to assist the patient temporarily until a family member or guardian arrives.
Instructions for Candidates
All students appearing for examinations at Invertis University must strictly adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a fair, disciplined, and smooth examination process.
1. Admit Card Requirement:
Students must present their Admit Card to gain entry into the Examination Hall. Any student failing to present the Admit Card will not be permitted to enter under any circumstances.
2. Reporting Time:
Students must occupy their allotted seats at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. The Admit Card must be displayed on the right-hand side of the desk throughout the examination.
3. Late Entry Policy:
No student shall be allowed to enter the Examination Hall after 30 minutes from the start of the examination.
4. Leaving the Hall:
Students are not allowed to leave the Examination Hall during the first hour of the examination.
5. Communication Restrictions:
Any form of communication, verbal or non-verbal, between students during the examination is strictly prohibited. Communication is only permitted with the invigilator when necessary.
6. Electronic Devices:
The use or possession of cell phones, iPods, MP3 players, pagers, smart watches, digital devices, or programmable calculators is strictly prohibited inside the Examination Hall.
7. Borrowing Materials:
Borrowing or lending of any examination material, including calculators, pens, pencils, erasers, or other stationery, is not allowed. Students must bring their own required materials.
8. Submission of Answer Sheets:
Students must hand over all answer sheet(s) to the invigilator before leaving the Examination Hall. Failure to do so may lead to disciplinary action.
9. Unfair Means:
Any student found using unfair means during the examination will be dealt with strictly as per Invertis University’s Examination Ordinances and may face suspension or cancellation of results.
Note: Invertis University upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. All students are expected to follow these instructions sincerely to maintain a fair and disciplined examination environment.
Rules and Regulations
For Students:
1. Ragging Prohibition:
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. Any student found guilty will face strict disciplinary action as per the Ragging Prevention Act and guidelines of the Supreme Court of India.
2. Substance Abuse:
Substance abuse, including smoking, use of tobacco, alcohol, or narcotics, is strictly banned inside the hostel premises. Possession or consumption will attract a fine up to ₹25,000 and may lead to suspension or expulsion.
3. Possession of Weapons:
Possession of weapons or any instrument that can cause harm to self or others is strictly prohibited.
4. Field/Maternity Postings:
Students on maternity or field postings must inform the hostel warden and submit a schedule approved by their Head of Department (HoD) in advance.
5. Unauthorized Visitors:
If any unauthorized person is found in the hostel premises or mess without prior permission, a fine of ₹5,000 will be imposed. Repeated offences will lead to expulsion from the hostel.
6. Outing Permission:
Permission for outing must be obtained in advance from the warden. The student must record details in the outgoing register, mentioning destination and contact number.
7. Overnight Stay:
Students are not allowed to stay out overnight without written permission from parents and the warden. Unauthorized absence will attract a fine of ₹1,000 per day.
8. Illness or Accident:
Students must report any illness or accident immediately. Those suffering from infectious diseases will not be permitted to stay in the hostel.
9. Personal Belongings:
Students are responsible for their belongings like cash, jewelry, or electronics. Use locks and safekeeping measures.
10. Hostel Property:
Students must handle hostel furniture and facilities with care. Any damage will incur fines decided by management.
11. Electricity & Water Usage:
Switch off all lights, fans, and appliances before leaving rooms. Avoid misuse of water to ensure conservation.
12. Electrical Gadgets:
Unauthorized use of electrical appliances is prohibited. Fines apply:
- ₹5,000 for first offence
- ₹15,000 + confiscation for second offence
- ₹25,000+ and disciplinary action for repeated offences
13. Cooking & Food:
Private cooking is not allowed in rooms. Taking food from the mess to rooms will incur a ₹3,000 fine.
14. Conduct & Discipline:
Abusive language, fights, or threatening behavior will lead to strict disciplinary action, including expulsion.
15. Cleanliness & Inspections:
Maintain cleanliness and discipline. Surprise inspections will be conducted regularly. Violations will lead to penalties.
16. Notice & Attendance:
Students must check the hostel notice board regularly. Attendance will be taken via Hostel DC. Ignorance of notices will not be accepted as an excuse.
For Guests / Visitors:
1. Guest Stay:
Guests are not permitted to stay overnight in the hostel.
2. Visiting Rules:
Parents or guardians may visit students in the Guest Room after obtaining permission from the Warden and recording details in the Visitor Register.
3. Visiting Hours:
Visitors must leave the hostel premises by 7:00 PM unless prior approval for an extended stay is granted.
Regarding Room Allotment:
1. Room Allotment:
All room and furniture assignments are made at the discretion of the Warden.
2. Reassignment Rights:
The university reserves the right to change rooms or reassign accommodations at the end of each academic year or under special circumstances.
