Expert Session On 'Relevance Of Summer Internship' Organized By B.com Department On 1st March 2024

Internships play a pivotal role in our educational programs. Within a professional context, they not only provide students with the opportunity to collaborate with industry experts but also allow them to apply theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world scenarios. Regardless of the specific focus, internships bridge the gap between theory and practice.

In line with these perspectives, B.Com Department (Faculty of Management) organized a one-day Expert Session titled “Relevance of Summer Internship” for the students of B.Com (H) and B.Com (2nd year) on 1st March 2024. The session was led by Mr. Chandra Shekhar, Manager-Corporate Relations at Invertis University, Bareilly.

During the session, Mr. Shekhar engaged students in discussions about their coursework from the previous and current semesters. He elaborated on the diverse roles within organizations and the significance of internships in shaping students’ professional outlooks. Additionally, he shed light on how the Corporate Relations Cell (CRC) facilitates internships and the monitoring process for those securing internships through CRC.

We sincerely thank Mr. Chandra Shekhar for guiding students on the importance of summer internships and their impact on career development. The session was a success under the guidance of Prof. YDS Arya (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Manish Gupta (Dean Management) and Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (Head of Department, B.Com). We also acknowledge the contributions of Dr. Mohnish Kumar, Ms. Shaheen Efrah Ali and Mr. Naman Agarwal in successful conduction of the session.
