Celebration of Constitution Day


On November 26, 2022, the Department of Law celebrated Constitution Day with great enthusiasm and reverence. The event commemorated the adoption of the Indian Constitution on this day in 1949, honoring the visionary leaders who framed the cornerstone of our nation's governance. The celebration commenced with a pledge ceremony, symbolizing the values of unity and sovereignty enshrined in the Constitution. Students, faculties gathered in the department. The highlight of the day was a captivating lecture delivered by Professor Shukat Ali, a renowned constitutional expert and esteemed faculty member. Prof. Ali's lecture delved into the historical significance of the Constitution, its salient features, and its role in shaping India's democratic fabric. He emphasized the fundamental rights and duties of citizens, urging the students to be responsible custodians of the Constitution's principles. Prof. Ali also discussed landmark cases that have shaped constitutional jurisprudence in India, providing valuable insights into the evolution of the country's legal system.

The lecture was followed by an interactive Q&A session, where students enthusiastically engaged with Prof. Ali, seeking clarifications and sharing their perspectives on constitutional matters. The Department of Law also organized an essay writing competition on the theme of "Constitutional Values and Modern India." The participants showcased their in-depth understanding of constitutional principles, demonstrating critical thinking and analytical skills.
