Yashdeep Srivastava

Dr. Yashdeep Srivastava is a dedicated academic and researcher in the field of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. He earned his Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the prestigious CIMAP-JNU Ph.D. program, with a thesis focused on transcriptome-based analysis of transcription factors and terpene synthesis genes in Withania somnifera. He holds an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Bundelkhand University and a B.Sc. in Applied Sciences from Allahabad University. Dr. Srivastava’s academic journey is marked by consistent excellence, having secured first division throughout his studies. His research experience includes roles at CSIR-CIMAP and the National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, where he contributed to various plant-based and molecular studies. He has published extensively in reputed journals and edited volumes on topics including metabolic engineering, plant stress responses, antimicrobial peptides, and immune-enhancing phytocompounds. His notable publications include work in Planta, Scientific Reports, and Industrial Crops and Products. Dr. Srivastava has qualified competitive national exams such as CSIR-UGC JRF (AIR 72), GATE (96.91 percentile), and ASRB NET. He has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences and has been recognized with awards for his oral presentations. He has also actively participated in multiple faculty development programs and workshops. His expertise spans molecular cloning, transcriptome analysis, bioinformatics tools, and computer applications.
