Payel Das

Dr. Payel Das serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Invertis University. She completed her B.E in Civil Engineering from Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT), Agartala, Tripura in 2014, followed by her M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from NIT Agartala in 2016. She recently earned her PhD in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Environmental Engineering from NIT Agartala in October 2023.

With over two years of teaching experience, Dr. Das brings a student-centric approach to her classroom, believing that students are equals who are yet to gain the knowledge she can impart. Her research interests focus on environmental engineering and sustainable solutions, and she has contributed significantly to academia with six international journal publications, including four SCI-indexed and two Scopus-indexed journals.

Beyond her teaching and research contributions, Dr. Das actively engages in mentoring students in project work, fostering critical thinking, and encouraging hands-on learning. She emphasizes the importance of combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications to prepare students for real-world challenges in civil and environmental engineering.

Dr. Das is also an active participant in academic and professional networks, maintaining collaborations through platforms like ResearchGate and Google Scholar. Her work demonstrates a commitment to advancing knowledge in environmental engineering while creating a positive, inclusive, and interactive learning environment for her students.
