Nitin Sareen

Dr. Nitin Sareen is the Head of the Department of B.Com. at Invertis University, Bareilly, with 17 years of teaching experience and 3 years of professional experience in Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation. He holds a Ph.D. in Commerce from Kumaun University, Nainital, along with an M.Com., UGC-NET in Commerce, and CA Intermediate qualification.

His teaching and academic expertise includes Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Financial Management, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Taxation, Working Capital Management, and Auditing. His research interests cover Ind AS/IFRS, financial reporting and disclosures, financial statement analysis, taxation, investment and financial management, and business analytics.

Dr. Sareen has authored and presented research papers on areas including IFRS and Ind AS, GST, financial reporting, green products, PM SVANidhi, and data-driven gold-price prediction. He has also contributed to curriculum development, student mentoring, examination administration, and academic governance through roles such as membership of the Board of Studies and Academic Council.

He has completed Faculty Development Programmes and NPTEL certifications from IIT Roorkee and IIT Bombay and is a Life Member of the Indian Accounting Association. His academic and professional work combines accounting education, financial research, academic administration, and practical knowledge of taxation and auditing.
