Dr. Monika Chauhan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at Invertis University, Bareilly, with academic and research expertise in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. She holds a Ph.D. from Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan, along with M.Pharm. and B.Pharm. degrees in Pharmacy. Her academic experience includes teaching, pharmaceutical research, academic development, and student mentoring.
Her research expertise covers Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD), ligand-based and structure-based drug design, molecular docking, virtual screening, pharmacophore modelling, QSAR, in-silico studies, and enzyme-based in-vitro assays. She also has experience in chemical structure searching, scientific databases, column chromatography, TLC, modern synthetic techniques, and the use of scientific instruments and relevant software.
Dr. Chauhan's research interests span drug discovery areas including anti-diabetic, anti-hypertensive, anti-Alzheimer's, antibacterial, and neuroregenerative research. Her doctoral research focused on the identification of novel Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) inhibitors as potential anti-diabetic agents through integrated in-silico, in-vitro, and in-vivo approaches.
She has contributed to research publications in reputed journals and has participated in conferences, workshops, and Faculty Development Programmes. Her academic work combines pharmaceutical education with computational drug design and experimental research, while her professional interests include innovative drug discovery, interdisciplinary research, and mentoring students and researchers.
