Mr. Guru Das is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Invertis University, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna, where his Ph.D. thesis has been submitted. He holds an M.Tech. in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering from NIT Patna, with a CGPA of 8.95, and a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, with 83.24%.

His doctoral research focuses on advanced deterministic and probabilistic assessment of slope stability using FEM-SRT and RFEM coupled with Monte Carlo Simulation and Subset Simulation. His technical expertise includes finite element modelling, Strength Reduction Technique, Random Finite Element Method, reliability analysis, stochastic simulation, uncertainty quantification, and Fortran-based numerical modelling.

His research interests include probabilistic slope stability analysis, computational geomechanics, reliability-based geotechnical analysis, and the effects of spatial variability and material and loading uncertainties. He has also contributed to undergraduate and postgraduate laboratory teaching as a Teaching Assistant at NIT Patna in Geotechnical Engineering, Finite Element Method, Engineering Geology, and Computational Methods in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Guru Das has five research publications in reputed journals, including publications indexed in SCIE and/or Scopus. He has qualified GATE in Civil Engineering and received Institute Teaching Assistantship during his doctoral programme.
