A total of ten years of experience (including Ph.D.) in research in Biochemistry, Molecular breeding, and Marker-assisted breeding for the improvement of biotic and abiotic stress tolerance in Rice Crop.

My research expertise includes molecular biology techniques, biochemical analysis, and biophysical methods. I have published several research papers in reputable journals and contributed to varietal development, creating new rice varieties with desirable traits. I have been associated with the development of rice varieties namely, Pusa Basmati 1882, Pusa 1824, Pusa Samba 1850 and Pusa 1853 for reproductive stage drought tolerance, bacterial leaf blight and blast disease resistance using markers-assisted backcross breeding.

My passion lies in exploring innovative techniques and approaches to address pressing agricultural challenges, and I am committed to advancing crop biology and improving yields through innovative research and breeding techniques.

Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Invertis University, where I have been teaching subjects like Molecular Biology, Immunology, and Biochemistry for the past two years.
