Ankita Kumari

Ms. Ankita Kumari is a biotechnology researcher and Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Invertis University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Savitribai Phule Pune University and an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the Central University of South Bihar, Gaya. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Biotechnology at the Central University of South Bihar, with her thesis submitted.

Her research focuses on plant stress physiology and secondary metabolites of the medicinal plant Stevia. Her technical expertise includes plant tissue culture, in vitro propagation, callus induction, shoot regeneration, secondary metabolite enhancement, molecular biology, recombinant DNA technology, microbial techniques, and biochemical and phytochemical assays.

She has hands-on experience with PCR, Real-Time PCR, Western blotting, HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography), microscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and chromatography. She has also contributed to teaching and academic activities, including serving as a teaching assistant during a DST-STUTI training programme on research equipment in Physics and Biotechnology.

Ms. Ankita Kumari has authored/co-authored 10 publications, including 5 international journal publications and 3 book chapters. Her academic achievements include qualifying GATE in Biotechnology and receiving travel support for poster presentation at the SFRR-INDIA-DISCOVER annual meeting.
