WORKSHOP ON TRAIN YOUR-SELF: AN ATTEMPT TO ELEVATE BY MOVING OUT OF THE COMFORT ZONE ORGANISED BY B.COM DEPARTMENT ON 12TH APRIL 2021
With a view to prepare students for summer internship, B.Com Department organized a Workshop on “Train Your-Self: An attempt to elevate yourself by moving out of the comfort zone” on 12th April, 2021 for the students of B.Com (H) in Financial Markets, B.Com (H) and B.Com (2nd and 3rd Year). The Workshop was conducted by Mr. Appras Vilies (Trainer, Invertis University).
Mr. Appras started the session with what students should consider before starting their summer internship and what it means to be a successful intern. He further mentioned that getting an internship is just the beginning, and it isn’t the most important part of the internship process.
He spoke about how to begin preparing for your new job, once you have secured an internship position. How can a student make the most of the opportunity by learning curve during their internship?
Later, he told about the pre-requisite for summer training/internship by planning, preparing and following the best practices in order to make the most out of your internship/training.
He spoke on the different ways for a student to prepare for their internship, and what all are the things that as a professional one should consider before the first day of the work.
Mr. Vilies concluded with, the things as professional (students) should expect during the first few days of your internship. And what are the do’s and don’ts during your summer training/ internship. The session was very interactive and productive.
We extend our deep gratitude to Mr. Appras Vilies (Trainer, Invertis University) who really made the students understand the relevance of summer training/internship and how can one train himself/herself prior to their internship. The workshop was proved to be fruitful under the guidance of Dr. Umesh Gautam (Honourable Chancellor), Prof. YDS Arya (Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Manish Gupta (Dean Management), Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, B.Com Department), Mr. Naveen Agarwal and Dr. Mohnish Kumar.
