The Department of B.Com., Faculty of Management, Invertis University, organized a highly informative and career-enhancing workshop named “Accounting Skill Building Workshop: Tally Prime 6.0 Workshop” on 27th April 2026 at Seminar Hall–1 for the B.Com. (Hons.) (1st and 2nd year) students. The purpose of conducting the workshop was to provide the students with practical knowledge in accounting and help them acquire important skills for their professional development in finance, accounting, and business management.

Mr. Vivek Gupta, Assistant Professor, was the keynote speaker of the event who acted as the resource person for the workshop. With his vast experience and knowledge in academics and the industry, Mr. Vivek Gupta acquainted the students with practical uses of Tally Prime 6.0 software, stressing on its growing significance in computerized accounting in the contemporary professional world.

In the workshop, students get acquainted with the fundamentals of accounting and were trained to install and start the Tally Prime software. Students gained an understanding of practical procedures such as creating and managing companies, ledger management, voucher and journal entry, cashbook management, managing stocks and inventory, and making invoices with relevant accounting processes. The sessions allowed students to practically gain exposure to important accounting procedures, making them better equipped and ready to enter the market with confidence.

Also, students practically worked on the sessions and exercises in each module, gaining conceptual understanding as well as technical knowledge about the subject matter. It acted as a highly effective platform where students could convert their theoretical knowledge into practical experience, highlighting the importance of developing professional skills along with classroom learning.

The success of the program would not have been possible without the efforts and guidance of our honorable chancellor, Mr. Umesh Gautam; Pro-chancellor, Mr. Parth Gautam; Dean Management, Prof. Manish Gupta; and HOD (Department of B.Com), Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi, with assistance from the organizing committee consisting of Mr. Vivek Gupta, Dr. Nitin Sareen, Dr. Mohnish Kumar along with student coordinators.
