Invertis University celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on August 15, 2026, marking 79 years of Independence since the country became free from British rule in 1947. The celebration brought together students, faculty members and staff in a spirit of patriotism, unity and national pride.

The celebrations included a Tiranga Yatra, in which the Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam, Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, staff and students participated. The procession added a strong sense of collective pride to the Independence Day observance as the university community came together under the Tricolour.

The national flag was hoisted by Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam, marking the formal beginning of the celebrations. The ceremony reflected the significance of Independence Day and provided an opportunity for the university community to remember the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who contributed to India's journey to freedom.

The programme also featured a series of cultural performances by students. A soulful singing performance brought a patriotic touch to the occasion, followed by an engaging presentation highlighting values of courage, sacrifice and love for the nation. Students also presented an energetic dance performance showcasing India's cultural diversity and the spirit of unity.

The performances provided students with an opportunity to express their patriotism through music, dance and creative expression. Their participation added vibrancy to the celebrations while keeping the focus on the values associated with India's Independence.

The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets among the participants, bringing the university community together on a festive note.

The 80th Independence Day celebration at Invertis University combined the solemnity of the national flag ceremony with student-led cultural expressions and the collective spirit of the Tiranga Yatra, making it a meaningful observance of India's freedom, unity and diversity.
