Udghosh, IIT Kanpur’s flagship sports festival, brought together student athletes from different institutions to compete across sporting disciplines. This year’s theme, “Arcana Ascension,” represented the journey from challenger to champion through determination, discipline, perseverance and the pursuit of excellence.

For the Invertis contingent, the festival offered an opportunity to test their abilities against athletes from other institutions and compete in a demanding sporting environment. Participation across team sports, martial arts and athletics required preparation, coordination and focus, while the medal results reflected the contingent’s performance across a range of competitions.

The gold-medal finishes in football, hockey and taekwondo were the standout results of the university’s campaign. The additional medals in taekwondo, athletics and kabaddi further strengthened the contingent’s overall showing.

The participation of 116 students also gave the university representation across multiple sporting disciplines at a major inter-institutional event. For the athletes, the experience offered competitive exposure and an opportunity to interact with students from different institutions.

The results at Udghosh ’26 marked a strong outing for Invertis University, with medals across five disciplines and four gold medals won by international student participants. The contingent’s performance brought recognition to its athletes and highlighted the role of sporting competitions in developing discipline, teamwork and competitive experience among students.
