International Hindi Day Celebration

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Invertis University, Bareilly, organized a special programme on the occasion of International Hindi Day on 10th January 2026 under the guidance and encouragement of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam. The programme aimed to highlight the importance of Hindi language and its role in expressing culture, thoughts, and national identity.
On this occasion, Prof. R. K. Shukla, Dean – Faculty of Engineering and Technology, attended as the chief guest and emphasized that one should always feel proud of one’s mother tongue, as no language can replace its emotional and cultural value. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Dean, stated that while communication can be done in any language, the language used to express ideology holds special importance.
The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Lalit Kumar, Head of the Department, who spoke about the historical and global significance of Hindi. Faculty members Dr. Gaurav Agarwal, Dr. Ashish Singh, Awadhesh Sharma, and Dr. Vaibhav Chauhan also shared their views on the importance of Hindi in society and media.
Students actively participated in the programme, and Sukriti Pandey and Sanskriti presented their creative compositions. Faculty members Dr. Nidhi Gupta, Ms. Yashika Gupta, and students from various departments were present during the event.
The programme concluded successfully, promoting respect for Hindi language and encouraging students to preserve and promote their linguistic heritage.
