Theoretical knowledge is incomplete without practical exposure. Keeping this in mind, the CRC Department and the
B.Com
Department of Invertis University, Bareilly jointly organized an industrial visit for the students of B.Com (H) and
B.Com (1st Year) to Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd., Pantnagar on 2nd May 2025. The visit provided students with valuable
insights into the functioning of a real-world corporate environment.
Parle has been serving the country since the British era and is one of the most trusted names in the FMCG sector. It
offers a wide range of biscuits and confectioneries, including Parle-G, 20-20 Biscuits, Cream Biscuits, Hide & Seek,
Mango Bite, Lollipops, and many more. The company effectively implements manufacturing techniques like Just-in-Time
(JIT) and Kaizen to maintain high efficiency and quality.
Upon reaching the plant, students were welcomed by Ms. Garima Kargeti (HR Manager), who conducted an engaging
interactive session. She familiarized the students with the operations of the plant and the journey of the company
since
its inception, supported by a detailed presentation. She also addressed student queries and encouraged their
suggestions.
Following the session, Ms. Kargeti led the students on a guided tour of the facility. They witnessed the entire
biscuit
production and packaging process, and also observed how the products are moved through the supply chain distribution
network. The visit to the packaging section was particularly enlightening, as students learned about the intricacies
of
product packing and market readiness.
The visit was an enriching experience for the students, providing them with first hand exposure to industrial
practices.
On their way back, students had the opportunity to seek blessings at Gurudwara Sri Nanakmatta Sahib, adding a
spiritual
dimension to the educational trip.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the employees and staff of Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd. for their warm hospitality
and
support. The visit was successfully conducted under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Umesh Gautam (Honourable
Chancellor),
Mr. Parth Gautam (Executive Director), Prof. Y.D.S. Arya (Vice-Chancellor), Prof. Manish Gupta (Dean Management),
Dr.
Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, B.Com), Mr. Vivek Gupta and Ms. Ruchi Rastogi. A special thanks to Mr. Chander Shekhar
