Industrial exposure is very important for the students so for this Department of EE/ECE organised one day industrial visit. The students of B.Tech. (Electrical Engineering/Electronics & Communication Engineering), Diploma (Electrical Engineering) visited Rosa Thermal Power Plant at Shahjahnpur (U.P.) on 15-04-2022.
Rosa Power Plant is a 1,200 MW of coal-based generation capacity at Rosa village in Shahjahnpur. The coal for the project would be supplied from the Asoka Coal mines of Central Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited. The coal mines are located in Jharkhand and the coal will be transported by Railways over a distance of 870 km. The water required for the power plant is sourced from Garrah River located a kilometre from the project. There are four functioning units, all of which are coal-fired thermal power stations. The prime motive was to make student acquit with Industrial application along with regular classroom teaching.
Students have learned about the various aspects of boiler, turbine and power evacuations. Students were accompanied by Mr. Mon Prakash Upadhyay, Mr. Pankaj Tripathi. The feedback by the students regarding this industrial visit was very good. The efforts towards making student Industry ready were appreciated by Dean Prof. R.K Shukla Sir and VC Prof. YDS Arya Sir.
