The Departments of Journalism and Mass Communication and Education at Invertis University marked Hindi Diwas with a programme celebrating the language’s cultural significance, literary richness and continued relevance in everyday life.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam. Chief Guest Mr. Suresh Babu Mishra addressed the gathering and emphasised the importance of respecting Hindi as part of India’s cultural heritage. He encouraged students to take pride in the language and contribute to preserving its dignity.
Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Dean, Journalism and Mass Communication, spoke about the history and evolution of Hindi, encouraging students to use the language with confidence. Dr. Lalit Kumar, Head of the Department, also urged students to incorporate Hindi into their daily communication and recognise its place in social and cultural life.
Students brought the celebration to life through plays, poetry recitations and speeches highlighting the importance of Hindi. Their performances explored the language through creative expression and gave participants an opportunity to engage with its literary and cultural dimensions.
Faculty members and students from both departments took part in the programme, creating an atmosphere centred on language, literature and expression. The celebration also offered students an opportunity to reflect on the role of Hindi in communication and the importance of keeping the language connected to everyday use.
The programme concluded with a renewed emphasis on valuing Hindi, understanding its evolution and carrying its literary and cultural traditions forward.
