The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Invertis University, Bareilly, organized a guest lecture on “Contours of Public Relations: Government PR, Corporate PR, and Contemporary Practices” on 18th September 2025. The session was conducted under the visionary leadership of Hon’blr Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Executive Director Mr. Parth Gautam, with the objective of enhancing students’ understanding of the evolving landscape of Public Relations. The keynote speaker, Dr. Suhail Wahid, Former Deputy Director of Information and eminent PR expert, delivered an insightful lecture emphasizing that Public Relations is not merely an exchange of information but a bridge of trust and communication between institutions and society. He elaborated on how government PR focuses on public welfare and transparency, while corporate PR plays a vital role in brand image and reputation management. The discussion also included emerging technologies and contemporary challenges in the PR sector. Students actively participated, engaging in a meaningful Q&A session and exploring career opportunities in the field of Public Relations. The session proved to be highly informative, inspiring students to view PR as a powerful tool for social awareness, ethical communication, and professional growth.
