The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Invertis University, Bareilly, organized a guest lecture on “AI Workshop in Media Tools” on 1st October 2025, under the initiative AI for Digital Readiness and Advancement (ADiRA). The session was held under the leadership of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Executive Director Mr. Parth Gautam with the objective of enhancing students’ digital competence and understanding of artificial intelligence applications in media. The guest speaker, Dr. Nimish Kapoor, an AI and Fact-Checking Trainer, delivered an insightful lecture highlighting how AI is revolutionizing journalism, education, and industry, shaping the future of media and communication. Students gained hands-on exposure to AI-based tools used in content creation, editing, and data analysis. The session was graced by Prof. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, and Dr. Lalit Kumar, Head of Department, who emphasized the importance of equipping students with future-ready digital skills. Faculty members Dr. Rubina Verma, Ms. Bushra Khanam, and Mr. Rishabh Pandey also contributed to the event’s success. The session proved to be highly informative and interactive, leaving students inspired to integrate AI tools into their professional pursuits.
