Guest Lecture on “Agri-Food Systems”

The Department of Agriculture at Invertis University in Bareilly had a big success with a lecture series on Sustainable Agri-Food Systems. This happened on 13th April 2026. The people in charge were Hon'ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Hon'ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam. The main goal of the programme was to tell people about how important it's to be sustainable in agriculture and food systems.
There were some good speakers at the session. Dr. Vini Rautray from the National Institute of Technology in Rourkela and the University of Guelph spoke. So did Prof. Neeraj from NIFTEM in Sonipat. They talked about food processing and how to make agriculture sustainable. They also talked about ways to make sure we have food even when things get tough. Sustainable Agri-Food Systems were a part of the discussion. They talked about climate change. How to manage our resources. They also talked about how to make sure everyone has good food to eat and how to use new technology in agriculture.
The programme was put together by Er. Abhirup Mitra and Mr. Tej Bhan Singh helped him. Some other important people were there too like Dr. S.S. Tripathi, Dr. Devraj Singh and Dr. Ajeet Rana. The teachers and students were also there.
The lecture series was very informative and inspiring. It helped the students understand why Sustainable Agri-Food Systems are so important. The students learned a lot, about how to make agriculture sustainable. Sustainable Agri-Food Systems are the way to go.
