GUEST LECTURE ON BUSTING THE MYTHS OF STOCK MARKET ORGANISED BY B.COM DEPARTMENTON 21ST DECEMBER 2021
With a view to provide exposure of the stock market, B.Com Department organized a Guest Lecture on “Busting the Myths of the Stock Market” on 21st December 2021 for the students of B.Com (H) and B.Com (3rd Year). The lecture was delivered by CMA Sharad Gautam.
Mr. Gautam started his deliberation by asking the students about the trading practices in the stock market. He brought out that trading is generally done through tips received from informal sources. These are made to benefit the large traders by deceiving novice retail investors.
He also advised students to invest in the securities by understanding the fundamentals of the company and for trading purposes, technical analysis should be done. He explained the nuances of the fundamental analysis, which can be easily used without much effort. He also told how the information about the company could be gathered.
Further, he also shared his experience with the stock market, how he multiplied his investments despite the uncertainties, and concluded with the message, “Patience is the key”.
We extend our deep gratitude to CMA Sharad Gautam (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Management) for clarifying the general misconceptions of the stock market. The lecture was proved fruitful under the guidance of Prof. YDS Arya (Vice-Chancellor), Prof. Manish Gupta (Dean Management), Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, B.Com Department), Mr. Naveen Agarwal, and other department faculty members.
