Discussion on “Impact of the Gulf War on India”

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Invertis University, Bareilly, organized a discussion on “Impact of the Gulf War on India” on 11th March 2026 under the guidance and encouragement of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam. The objective of the session was to make students aware of international conflicts in the Middle East and their possible economic and social impact on India.
During the session, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Dean, explained that wars are not limited to two nations but affect the entire world through disruption of trade, increase in oil prices, rising transportation costs, and instability in global markets. He also highlighted the humanitarian and environmental consequences of war on society and nature.
Dr. Lalit Kumar, Head of the Department, stressed the importance of understanding global events and compared the situation with challenges faced during the COVID-19 period, emphasizing the need for awareness among journalism students. Students actively participated in the discussion and shared their views on issues such as rising fuel prices, trade disruption, and international relations.
Faculty members Dr. Nidhi Gupta and Ms. Yashika Gupta along with students were present during the programme. The discussion concluded with the message that future journalists must remain aware of international developments and report them responsibly.
