BRICS Summit 2026 Brings Global Affairs into the Classroom
The Department of BBA organised BRICS Summit 2026 on 25 September 2026 at the Conference Room of the Incubation Centre, providing students with an opportunity to explore international business, global economics, diplomacy and contemporary geopolitical issues through a simulated summit.
Held under the guidance of Prof. Manish Gupta, Dean, Management, the event featured student teams representing Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Each team comprised three delegates who represented their assigned country during the various rounds of the summit.
The event included ideation, discussions, cross-questioning, coalition building, crisis management and a press conference. These activities required students to analyse global issues, negotiate different viewpoints and formulate responses in a diplomatic setting.
Throughout the summit, participants demonstrated communication, critical thinking, teamwork and decision-making skills. The simulated environment allowed students to experience the challenges involved in international negotiations and understand how countries approach complex economic and diplomatic issues.
The performances were evaluated by Dr. Rajeev Singh Bhandari, Head, Department of BBA, and Dr. Swastika Tripathi, Associate Professor. The jury assessed participants on subject knowledge, clarity of thought, communication, structured responses and logical reasoning, while encouraging students to strengthen their understanding of global affairs.
The team comprising Samaksh Lunial, Prince Gangwar and Shivi was declared the winner of the summit. Their subject understanding, presentation and communication were appreciated by the jury.
The event was coordinated by Ms. Neha Dev, Assistant Professor and Faculty Coordinator, with support from student coordinators Nishtha, Vatsal, Maulik, Prince, Vikhyat, Abhishek, Akshita, Radhika and Madhav Gupta.
BRICS Summit 2026 offered students a practical way to connect classroom concepts with international affairs. Through discussions, negotiations and crisis-based activities, the summit helped participants develop a broader understanding of global business while strengthening their confidence, analytical thinking and collaborative skills.
