BGMI E-Sports Championship Brings Strategy and Competition to Campus
The Department of B.Com., Faculty of Management, organised an E-Sports Championship featuring Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) at Seminar Hall 2, bringing students together for a competitive gaming event focused on strategy, coordination and teamwork.
The championship gave participants an opportunity to test their gaming skills while making quick decisions, communicating with teammates and adapting to changing situations during gameplay. The competition encouraged students to remain focused under pressure and coordinate their strategies to meet the challenges of a team-based gaming environment.
Students participated enthusiastically, demonstrating tactical thinking, communication and team coordination throughout the event. Beyond the competition itself, the championship offered students with a shared interest in gaming an opportunity to interact with peers and take part in a structured competitive activity.
The event also highlighted skills associated with team-based e-sports, including concentration, strategic planning, leadership and decision-making. Participants had to respond to evolving game situations while working towards shared objectives, making the championship an engaging mix of technology, recreation and competition.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Y. D. S. Arya, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Manish Gupta, Dean, Management; and Dr. Nitin Sareen, HOD, B.Com. Dr. Manmohan Bansal, Assistant Professor, facilitated the event, with student coordinators Garv Grover, Akshit Pal, Pratyaksh Gupta, Garvit Grover and Ashish John supporting its organisation.
