Happenings

The project-research work of our student M. Wamiq (B.Tech Mechanical, 3rd Year) is now published in prestigious Elsevier journal, Construction and Building Materials. The journal is SCI Indexed and having an impact factor of 4.685. The student was jointly supervised by Prof. Maged AY (Western University, Canada) and Prof. Chiara Bedon (University of Trieste, Italy), scientists from Universities with under 500 rankings in QS world university rankings along with faculties of our mechanical engineering department. The project work has investigated the performance of commercially used window glasses in fire using an innovative low-cost setup depicting realistic fire scenario fabricated by the student and also the modelling the behaviour mathematically. The students have performed the experiments jointly at our University and MNNIT Allahabad. Ruman and Shimail, students of the same class, were also the members of his project group.
