ONLINE WORKSHOP ON “APTITUDE FOR PLACEMENTS” ORGANISED BY B.COM DEPARTMENT ON 12TH JUNE 2021
With a view to prepare students for better placements, B.Com Department organized an Online Workshop on “Aptitude For Placements” on 12th June, 2021 for the students of B.Com (H) in Financial Markets (2nd& 3rd Year), B.Com (H) and B.Com (3rd Year). The workshop was conducted by Er. Akshay Mani (Aptitude Trainer, Invertis University).
Mr. Mani started the session with the discussion on initial question "Who you are?” which is generally very challenging question. He further dealt with questions like what do you do? and what do you want to do? In addition, reason why you want to do?
Later, he told about the pre-requisite for industry requirements or entrepreneurship, which generally includes: Attitude (eager to learn and improve), Aptitude (your capabilities) and Team spirit.
He also clearly differentiated between General Mathematics and Aptitude. According to him, Mathematics is a learning subject and Aptitude is a dynamic subject. He also added that verbal aptitude in layman terms called English.
Further, he explained about the four important aspects of aptitude solving:
- Basic Mathematics way
- To solve it logically
- Hit & Trial Method
- Using the options method
Mr. Mani concluded the workshop with the remark that “to solve aptitude questions we need to observe the relation between given and asked data”.

The workshop was proved to be fruitful under the guidance of Dr. Umesh Gautam (Honourable Chancellor), Prof. YDS Arya (Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Manish Gupta (Dean Management), Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, B.Com Department), Dr. Mohnish Kumar, Mr. Naveen Agarwal and other department faculty members.
