One-Day Workshop on Radio & Television Production

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Invertis University, Bareilly, organized a one-day workshop on “Practical Exposure to Radio & Television Production: Skills, Ethics and Innovation” on 19th March 2026 under the guidance and encouragement of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam. The workshop aimed to provide students with practical knowledge and professional insights into radio and television production.
The session was addressed by Mr. Mithilesh Kumar Srivastava, Programme Head – Akashvani Bareilly, and Dr. Ashish Gupta, Senior TV Journalist, who shared their valuable industry experience with the students. In the first session, Mr. Srivastava explained the history of radio, voice modulation, and broadcasting techniques, along with practical exercises to demonstrate how radio engages audiences through sound and presentation.
In the second session, Dr. Ashish Gupta guided students on live reporting and field journalism techniques, emphasizing the importance of practical knowledge and on-ground experience in building strong reporting skills. Students actively participated in hands-on activities and learned key aspects of television reporting and media ethics.
The workshop was conducted in the presence of Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Dean, and Dr. Lalit Kumar, Head of the Department, along with faculty members and students. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Yashika Gupta.
The workshop proved to be highly informative and beneficial, providing students with valuable exposure to the practical aspects, opportunities, and challenges of radio and television media.
