Invertis University Marks National Space Day 2026 with Quiz and Presentation Competitions
The Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities at Invertis University, Bareilly, organised a special programme on August 25, 2026, to commemorate National Space Day 2026. The programme was held on the theme “Towards Viksit Bharat – Innovating, Collaborating and Aspiring to Global Space Leadership.”
The celebration focused on India’s achievements in space science and technology while giving students an opportunity to explore the country’s progress and future possibilities in the space sector.
The programme featured a Space Knowledge Quiz Competition and a PowerPoint Presentation Competition. Students took part in both activities, covering topics related to India’s space missions, technological developments and future ambitions in space exploration.
The competitions also gave students an opportunity to demonstrate their scientific knowledge, creativity and presentation skills. The presentations explored India’s development in space technology and connected scientific innovation with the broader vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Beyond the competitions, the programme encouraged students to develop scientific curiosity and engage with contemporary developments in space science. Activities such as these also provided an opportunity to strengthen communication, teamwork and presentation skills alongside academic learning.
The programme was organised under the leadership of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam. Vice Chancellor Prof. Y.D.S. Arya, Dean, Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities, Prof. P.P. Singh, and Head of the Department, Dr. Suchita Gupta, were also present, along with faculty members and students.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Rishabh Sharma, with Dr. Lalit Kumar serving as Co-Convener.
Through the National Space Day programme, the Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities provided students with a platform to engage with India's space achievements while developing greater interest in scientific innovation and the country's evolving role in global space exploration.
