International Women’s Day Celebration

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Invertis University, Bareilly, organized a special programme on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 9th March 2026 under the guidance and encouragement of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam. The programme aimed to highlight the role, struggles, and achievements of women in society and to promote awareness about women’s rights and empowerment.
On this occasion, Ms. Amita Agrawal, Managing Director, Dhruv Amusement, shared her experiences and encouraged students to respect and support women’s rights. Dr. Lovi Singh, Dean – Student Welfare, emphasized that women deserve equal opportunities and recognition in every field. Digital creator Kalpana Shukla (Protein Mummy) motivated students by stating that confidence and determination help women achieve success in all walks of life.
Prof. R. K. Shukla, Dean – Engineering, highlighted the importance of women in strengthening families and society, while Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Dean, spoke about the growing contribution of women in education, science, administration, and media. Winners of the pre-event poster-making competition were also felicitated during the programme.
Dr. Lalit Kumar, Head of the Department, emphasized the need to promote respect, equality, and opportunities for women in society. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rubina Verma in the presence of faculty members and students.
The event proved to be inspiring and meaningful, encouraging students to support the values of equality, dignity, and empowerment of women.
