Guest Lecture on Fashion Decode Understanding Style & Media

The Department of Fashion Design organized a guest lecture titled “Fashion Decode: Understanding Style & Media” on 30th March 2026. The session aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the connection between fashion and media, highlighting the role of communication, storytelling, and digital platforms in shaping modern fashion narratives.
The lecture was delivered by Ms. Yashika Gupta, Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication at Invertis University. She introduced students to key aspects of fashion communication, including news writing, reporting, anchoring, and digital content creation, while emphasizing the impact of media on fashion trends and public perception.
Through engaging discussions and real-world examples, students gained valuable insights into how digital and social media platforms are transforming the fashion industry. The interactive session encouraged active participation and helped students explore emerging career opportunities in fashion journalism and communication.
