Discussion on Union Budget 2026-27

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Invertis University, Bareilly, organized a discussion session on Union Budget 2026–27 on 2nd February 2026 under the guidance and encouragement of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam. The objective of the session was to familiarize students with the major announcements, reforms, and socio-economic impact of the Union Budget presented by the finance minister.
Students actively participated in the discussion and shared their views on various provisions of the budget. They highlighted that the budget focuses on education, employment generation, digital growth, startups, and skill development, while also discussing concerns related to inflation and its effect on common citizens. The session encouraged analytical thinking and awareness about national economic policies among journalism students.
Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Dean, explained the key reforms, tax changes, and development plans introduced in the budget, while Dr. Lalit Kumar, Head of the Department, emphasized the importance of understanding current affairs for future media professionals. Dr. Nidhi Gupta, Assistant Professor, appreciated the active participation of students and encouraged them to remain aware of national and global issues.
The session proved to be informative and engaging, helping students develop a deeper understanding of economic policies and their relevance in journalism and media studies.
