Dialectica 2.0: The Debate Series

The Faculty of Law, Invertis University, Bareilly had organized Dialectica 2.0: The Debate Series on 23rd & 24th April 2026 under the able guidance of Hon'ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam, Hon'ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam, and Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Y.D.S. Arya. The program was held under the able administration of Dean, Faculty of Law Prof. (Dr.) Reena Jaiswal, and HOD Mr. Prakhar Saxena, and Mr. Moiz was the Convener.

The Debate Competition followed the revered format of Lincoln-Douglas Debates, where emphasis was laid on constitutional reasoning, analytical skills, legal acumen, and public speaking abilities of the students. The Preliminary Rounds and Quarterfinals took place on the topic "This House Believes That Justice is better served through Gender-Neutral Legal Frameworks," whereas Semi-Finals and Finals were held on "This House Believes That Winning Elections cannot legitimize Unconstitutional Governance."

The last round was judged by Dr. Rajeev Bhandari and Dr. Manmohan Bansal, whose insightful comments contributed immensely to the educational value for the participants. Students participated in constructive and properly structured arguments, demonstrating their excellent logical analysis and articulation abilities. Winner’s Award went to Kirti Bhardwaj (B.B.A. LL.B. 1st Year), whereas Aayat Akhtar (B.A. LL.B. 3rd Year) was named Runner-Up. Saudamini Trivedi, Aditi Singh Chauhan, Ankit Pandey, and Ayesha Ansari received special mentions for their distinguished participation.

This activity turned out to be an extremely enlightening educational experience for the students.
