Career Combat – Mock Recruitment Drive Organised by MBA Department in Collaboration with CRC

The Department of MBA, Faculty of Management, Invertis University, Bareilly, successfully organized a two-day mock recruitment drive titled “Career Combat” on 4th and 6th April 2026 in collaboration with the Corporate Resource Center (CRC). The programme was conducted under the guidance of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Y.D.S. Arya, Dean Management Prof. Manish Gupta, and HOD MBA Dr. Ankita Tandon.
The objective of the event was to prepare MBA students for upcoming internship and placement opportunities by providing them with a realistic corporate hiring experience. students participated enthusiastically in the programme, which was conducted at Seminar Hall-1 and the Incubation Centre.
The mock recruitment drive was designed to simulate the complete hiring process, including group discussions, aptitude-based shortlisting, technical interviews, HR interviews, and feedback sessions. During the Group Discussion round, students were divided into teams and asked to discuss topics related to management, technology, business trends, and current affairs. The round helped students improve communication skills, leadership abilities, active listening, clarity of thought, and teamwork.
Shortlisted students then appeared for technical and HR interview rounds, where faculty members and CRC representatives assessed their domain knowledge, confidence, grooming, body language, professional etiquette, and problem-solving abilities. Students received detailed performance feedback through evaluation sheets designed on multiple parameters.
The event was successfully coordinated by faculty members and CRC officials, who acted as GD moderators, technical interviewers, HR mentors, and feedback evaluators. The mock drive proved to be highly beneficial in reducing interview anxiety and enhancing students’ employability skills, confidence, cognitive abilities, and professional presentation.
Overall, “Career Combat” served as an excellent platform for students to gain practical exposure to real-world recruitment processes and prepare themselves for future career opportunities.
