Alumni Guest Lecture on “Modern Railway and Its System"

The Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Invertis University, Bareilly, organized an Alumni Guest Lecture on “Modern Railway and Its System” on 6th February 2026. The session was conducted under the guidance and encouragement of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Umesh Gautam and Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Mr. Parth Gautam, with the objective of providing students with industry-oriented knowledge and practical insights into modern railway operations.
The lecture was delivered by Mr. Nehal Ansari, Senior Station Controller and Train Operator, NCRTC, Ghaziabad. During the session, he shared valuable insights into the working structure of modern railway systems, including signaling, control operations, safety mechanisms, communication networks, and the role of advanced automation in ensuring efficient train movement. He also explained how modern railway infrastructure integrates electrical engineering principles, real-time monitoring, and centralized control for safe and reliable transportation.
The session proved to be highly interactive, where students actively engaged in discussions and gained clarity on career opportunities, operational challenges, and technological advancements in the railway sector. The lecture helped bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world industrial practices, enhancing students’ understanding of modern transportation systems.
