Solar Power Plant

We are contributing to the larger picture of effective energy conservation as we have installed solar panels on the rooftops of more than three buildings. It assists in lowering utility expenses to a great extent. The campus has installed 800 kWP Solar PV. Solar generation power is connected to the panel and consumed energy in-house plant. A photovoltaic power system is an electricity generating Solar PV power system that is connected to the main LT panel. The Power Purchase Solar Agreement was made between Uttaranchal Welfare Society, B-249 Patel Nagar – 2 Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh and Fourth Party Energy Private Limited, 704 Krishna Apartments, Tilak Road Hyderabad on 28th January 2017. The Plant consists of 29 inverters and 13 meters for reading. Solar panels are from Vikram Solar and the panel model number is 320. Extra Solar power Generated is exported to Madhyanchal Vidhut Nigam through Net Metering system.

Biogas Plant

A biogas plant behind the mess has been installed in which the garbage is turned into thermal energy which is used for heating and cooking. A substitute for cooking gas (LPG) is bio-gas, which is a gas made of methane and a small quantity of carbon dioxide and is produced from food waste, decomposing organic matter and kitchen waste. Biomethane, a renewable natural gas, can be produced using environmentally friendly technology. University has been taken measures for the alternate sources of energy for helping the environment free from harmful pollutants.

Wheeling to the Grid

We have installed solar panels on the roofs of more than three buildings with a Net Metering system, helping to meet the demand for electricity by effectively utilizing solar energy. The project has been installed successfully and is now producing power that exceeds the campus's energy needs. The surplus power is export to MPCL Electricity. Wheeled power combined with BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) allows for a constant supply of electricity. The campus has installed 800 kWP Solar PV. Solar generation power is connected to the panel and grid to export energy to the Grid MPCL Electricity. A photovoltaic power system is an electricity generating Solar PV power system that is connected to the main LT panel.

Sensor Based Energy Conservation

We have installed range of motion sensor lights to prevent wastage of electricity, thus lowering energy consumption and cost. These sensor lights are easy to use, reliable, secure, code-compliant, and environment friendly. The motion-sensored lighting system is one of the requirements and need of today’s world. Sensor based lights have been installed at various locations within the campus including main gate entrance, library entrance, offices, parking area, washrooms etc. This not only saves energy but also acts as a security light for the safety of the campus.

Use of LED Bulbs/ Power Efficient Equipment

We are highly conscious about its Energy Efficiency and cost and has initiated several measures to reduce the energy consumption, which include replacement of conventional lamps with LEDs. Energy Efficient LED Lights offer reduction in the power consumption besides excellent colour rendering properties and high luminous efficacy. Lighting fixtures are installed in different areas and locations. Not only this the existing Non-star or 3-star ACs have been replaced with 5-star ACs for more energy savings.
