National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), New Delhi and Department of Civil Engineering, Invertis University Bareilly, U.P. are jointly organizing Three Day Faculty Development Programme(FDP) cum Training Workshop on “BASIC DISASTER MANAGEMENT”. NIDM, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is a premium institute and a Statutory Body (under Disaster Management Act 2005) for training, research, documentation, awareness and human resources and capacity development in the field of disaster mitigation and management. The Indian subcontinent is already among the world’s most disaster prone areas & Currently the country is also facing COVID19 induced challenges. These are extraordinary times and by holding such a program the process of knowledge gathering, sharing of information and training, keeps getting due momentum. It also sensitizes the participants/delegates about the due importance of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). Keeping this in view,Department of Civil Engineering jointly organizing with NIDM a three days Faculty Development Program (FDP) cum Training workshop on Basic Disaster Management to disseminate information with respect to disasters and also create a vast and multi-disciplinary understanding of the issues pertaining to .managing such disasters among the participants, The Target Audience for this programme would be Faculties, Researchers, Educators of Universities, Colleges, and Educational Institutes. This may also include research scholars, academicians, middle and senior level government officers of line departments like Revenue, DM, Agriculture, Climate Change and Forests, Animal Husbandry, Police, Municipality, Water Management, PWD as well as representatives from Private Sectors/NGOs, etc. Participants will be provided with authorized e-certificates.
