WEBINAR ON BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL ETHICS - ORGANISED BY B.COM DEPARTMENT ON 30TH OCTOBER 2020

With a view to provide corporate exposure to the students, B.Com Department organized a Webinar on Business and Professional Ethics on 30th October, 2020 for the 1st year students of B.Com (H) and B.Com. The lecture was delivered by CA Jyoti Sapra Madan (Chartered Accountant and GST Practitioner).

Ms. Jyoti had started the session with an activity to boost the enthusiasm among the students. After that she started formal interaction with students. She further explains, business ethics is the study of appropriate business policies and practices regarding potentially controversial subjects. Business ethics ensure that a certain basic level of trust exists between consumers and various forms of market participants with businesses. The concept of business ethics began in the 1960s as corporations became more aware of a rising consumer-based society that showed concerns regarding the environment, social causes, and corporate responsibility.

After that Ms. Jyoti also make students aware about professional ethics. She added how the concept first impression is the last impression works. According to her Professional ethics encompass the personal and corporate standards of behavior expected by professionals. Within the broad field of applied ethics, professional ethics assesses the moral dimension of human activity in the classic occupations. Like values, professional ethics provide rules on how a person should act towards other people.

During the lecture she also solves queries of students’ related to professional behavior. The session was very interactive and productive.

We extend our deep gratitude to CA Jyoti Sapra Madan (Chartered Accountant and GST Practitioner) who really made the students aware of the practical implications of Business Ethics. The lecture was proved to be fruitful under the guidance of Prof. YDS Arya (Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Manish Gupta (Dean Management), Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, B.Com Department), Ms. Shweta (Organizer), Ms. Ruchi Rastogi & Dr. Mohnish Kumar.
