WOLRD FOOD SAFETY DAY Organized by the Department of Agriculture in collaboration with SMC (Smart Management Consultancy)

Department of Agriculture conducted two guest lectures through video conferencing on the for celebration of “World Food Safety Day”, on 7th  june, 2021 for M.Sc  Food Technology and B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture students. This Guest lectures were addressed by Dr. Deborshi De and Mr. Mrinal Bhadra. The lectures were conducted under the supervision of Mr. Abhirup Mitra , Assistant Professor here.

Both the guests discussed about the food safety and related guidelines by FSSAI(Food Safety and Standard Authority of India).

 Dr. Deborshi De is a national resource level person of FSSAI. He explained about current guidelines and related information. It was a very informative session for students.

Mr. Mrinal Bhadra explained about the safety and standards maintained in supply chain by big MNC’s like domino’s. As he is quality & food safety manager in Jubiliant fooworks Pvt. Ltd. (Domino’s).

Both the guests expressed  gratitude towards honourable Chancellor Sir Dr. Umesh Gautam, Vice Chancellor of the University Prof.Y.D.S Arya, Dean Prof. R.K.Shukla and Head of the Department Dr. Akshita Banga for giving opportunity to share his experiences and organizing such guest lectures for the students in their interest.
