GUEST LECTURE ON “RECENT CHANGES IN INCOME TAX & GST” ORGANISED BY FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT ON 22NDAPRIL 2022 FOR B.COM (H) & B.COM (2ND YEAR)


With a view to provide exposure of taxation to the students, Department of B.Com (Faculty of Management) organized a Guest Lecture on “Recent Changes in Income Tax & GST” on 22nd April, 2022 for the students of B.Com(H) and B.Com (2nd year). CA Shivam Gupta (Chartered Accountant) delivered the lecture.


CA Shivam started the deliberation with the basic introduction to the taxation system. Further, he moved on to the amendments made in the recent budget specifically direct and indirect tax. He told about the tax introduced on the digital currency, i.e. cryptocurrency, non-fungible tokens (NFT) etc and the changes made in the TDS rates. He also spoke about the GST rate changes made on the supply of brick.


During the lecture, he made the students understand how the taxation laws are implemented with his insightful experience and detailed explanations. The session was very interactive and productive.


We extend our deep gratitude to CA Shivam Gupta (Chartered Accountant) who gave the students practical exposure of the recent amendments in the Indian Taxation System.
