A GUEST LECTURE THROUGH VIDEO CONFERENCING ON THE TOPIC “Modern Electric Vehicle Technology,” IS ORGANIZED BY DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING ON 25th MAY 2020

Department of EE and ECE have organized a Guest Lecture through Video Conferencing on the topic “Modern Electric Vehicle Technology” on 25th May, 2020 for Diploma. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Rashmi Ranjan Behera (Assistant Professor, Bineswar Brahma Engineering College, A Govt. of Assam Institution).

He started the lecture with a brief history of EVs year wise. Then he explained the advantages of pure electric vehicles over traditional vehicles and discussed the necessity of electric vehicle technology. He also mentioned the challenges for the EV market in India and what measures the government is taking to make it accessible. He further described the architecture of an EV and explained thoroughly about each component. He also highlighted the importance of power electronics and electrical machines in the propulsion system.

During his lecture, Dr. Rashmi Ranjan Behera also answered the student’s queries about the topic and also discussed the career opportunities in this field. He also motivated students to pursue their projects in an electric vehicle as immense research opportunities are present.

Dr Rashmi Ranjan Behera thanked to Chancellor, Dr Umesh Gautam, Dean Engineering Prof. RK Shukla and Head of Department Mon Prakash Upadhyay and Mr. Debanjan Roy for giving opportunity to share his experience and organizing such webinars for the students in their interest.

The session was proved to be knowledgeable and fruitful under the guidance of Prof. YDS Arya (Vice-Chancellor), Dr. R. K.
