GUEST LECTURE ON ‘AVENUES & SPECIALISATION IN B.COM (H) PROGRAM’ ORGANISED BY FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT ON 20TH  MAY 2022 FOR B.COM (H) 2ND YEAR

With a view to guide the students in selecting their core specialisation in final year of B.Com (H), Department of B.Com (Faculty of Management) organized a Guest Lecture on ‘Avenues & Specialisation in  B.Com (H) Program’ on 20th May, 2022 for the students of B.Com(H) 2nd Year. The session was delivered by Dr. Shubho Chattopadhyay (HOD-MBA).

He started the session with the importance of knowing the content of any professional course and ensures its alignment towards the career goal. He told the students that this is the right moment to select the specialisation which suits to their future plan. He also told the students that both specialisation and future career are complementary to each other.

Later, he emphasised on the need to maintain proper balance between the area of interest and the future growth opportunities in it. He also discussed different core specialisations of B.Com (H) and their corresponding benefits with regard to the job opportunities viz. Finance & Accounting, Financial Markets, Banking & Insurance, Applied Economics and HR & Marketing Management. He also asked Mr. Vivek Gupta to give an insight about career opportunities in the area of Finance & Accounting and Financial Markets.

The session was very interactive and productive.

We extend our deep gratitude to Dr. Shubho Chattopadhyay (HOD, MBA) who guided the students about choosing their specialisations at such a crucial moment of their career. The session was proved fruitful under the guidance of Prof. YDS Arya (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Manish Gupta (Dean Management), Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, B.Com) and Mr. Vivek Gupta.
