Aiming to inculcate the spirit of the recent technological advancement in students, I-Tech, The Technical Club of Invertis University organized the longest event of fall semester 2018, The Tech-Week. The seven days technical fest continued from October 25, 2018 to November 01, 2018 in the lush green campus of Invertis University.The week started with the Inter-School Robotics workshop on the technology of Andro-Botics. In this 02 days’workshop, the students from different schools of Bareilly and nearby districts learned to assemble and program Robots that can be controlled with the help of Android phones. The University received a footfall of 400+ students, faculties and mentors from schools, making it a grand event. Another 02 days workshop on robotics i.e. “Brain-Wave Robotics” was conducted for the college students. In this workshop, undergraduate students learned to assemble and program brain-waves controlled robots. A brain-wave controlled robot is the one which is controlled by the meditation power of a person. For the students of Computer Engineering and Applications, a three days hand-on workshop on “Machine Learning with Python” was organized. At the same time, civil engineering students learned to design bridges that can sustain loads, in the workshop organized for them under the topic “Bridge designing and fabrication”. “IC Engine Designing and Assembling” was conducted for the students of Mechanical engineering students. Another area I-Tech tried to focus was in the field of Bio-technology. A workshop on “Gene Networking& Drug Designing” was organized for the students of Bio-Technology and Pharmacy. The trainers and speakers for the different workshops and lectures were invited from the I-Cell, IIT Mumbai. They provided quality knowledge to the students. All the workshops were followed by competition and championship. Cash prizes of ₹60,000 and scholarship worth ₹30 lacs were given to the winning students in this grand event. The prize distribution ceremony was made valuable by the benign presence of the Mayor of Bareilly, Dr.UmeshGautam. He quoted that these kinds of events enhances the technical skills of students at par with the industry, which is in fact the need of today. I-Tech club is highly thankful for the judges who spared their time for the event and to the press and media team for their kind support and coverage of the events. I-Tech club also gives special thanks to Honourable Chancellor, Dr. Umesh Gautam& Executive Chairperson Ms. Sonal Gautam for their kind guidance and support.Vice-Chancellor, Professor Y. D. S. Arya, Dean Engineering, Dr.R.K. Shukla, Dean Management, Dr. Manish Gupta, Dean Applied Science &Student Welfare, Dr.P.P. Singh offered best wishes to the students.Convener of the week-long series of events, Er. Suhail Javed Quraishi was of the view that thesetype of events are going to feed the curious minds of today's generation and he very well succeeded in persuading the participants to attain versatility in technical spheres.
