INDUSTRIAL VISIT OF BBA and B.COM (H) SECOND YEAR TO PARLE, RUDRAPUR ON 26TH APRIL 2019

Theoretical knowledge is incomplete without
practical exposure. So, with this thought in mind CRC department of Invertis
University, Bareilly organized an Industrial Visit for the students of BBA and B.Com (H) second year to PARLE Biscuit Pvt. Ltd., Rudrapur, where
students not only visited the industry but also gained deeper knowledge about
the real corporate world. Parle is serving the country from the time of British
Government. At present, Parle offers a wide range of Biscuits, Confectionaries
including Parle-G, 20-20 Biscuits, Cream Biscuits, Hide and Seek, Mango
Bite, Lollipops and many more products. Company is using JIT and KAIZEN
technique of manufacturing. The Company is having 3rd party
distribution channel.
On reaching the Parle Plant, Ms. Ritu
(Head, HR) had an interactive session with the students where she
familiarized students with the working of plant and also told about the growth
of the company since its inception with the help of a presentation. She also
entertained all the queries of the students and welcomed their suggestions.
After such an erudite session, Ms.
Garima (HR) and Mr. Nirdesh
Kumar (Plant Head) made the students visit the plant and showed them the
process of Biscuit production and its Packaging. Students were also showed how
these products move for supply chain distribution. The students also visited
the packaging section where they learned the process of how these products are
packed and are then sold in the market. The visit proved to be an elevating
experience for the students.
We extend our deep gratitude to PARLE employees
and staff who helped us in making the visit comfortable. The visit proved
to be fruitful under the guidance of Prof. YDS Arya (Vice Chancellor), Dr.
Manish Gupta (Dean Management), Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, BBA & B.COM), Mr. Nitin Sareen, Ms. Shilpi Dixit, Dr. Santosh Singh and Ms. Shweta. Also
we extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Diggaj Gupta (Senior Executive,
CRC Department, Invertis University) for arranging such knowledge
seeking visit.
