CRC department of Invertis University, Bareilly organized an industrial visit for giving the extra edge to the students and combining industry driven curriculum with the practical knowledge. The students of B.Com (H), B.Com & BBA had gone on their industrial visit to PARAG DAIRY, BAREILLY on January 29, 2019. Pradeshik Cooperative Dairy Federation of UP (PARAG) was formed in 1962 with the aim to develop organized dairying in the State on Cooperative lines. PCDF’s is a cohesive body that successfully does away with the exploitative forces of years to years-the Middlemen. Parag has 18 plants in the state located at every divisional town like Bareilly, Moradabad, Meerut and others. Every milk processing plant has an expertise to produce one unique product like ghee, cheese, milk powder, butter milk and so on. The students interacted with the Mr. Gaya Prasad (General Manager) and other officials of the organization and gained knowledge about the Production process, HR Policies and Procedures, Marketing strategies, financial aspects, Quality of Work Life, Employee morale and satisfaction index. He said that this unit will be Parag’s first plant to produce ice-cream in the state and the total cost of entire project is Rs. 100 crore. The Company’s activities in India have facilitated direct and indirect employment and provides livelihood to about one million people including farmers, suppliers of packaging materials, services and other goods. We extend our deep gratitude to PARAG employees and staff especially Mr. Gaya Prasad, GM, Parag Plant, Bareilly who helped us in making the visit comfortable. The visit proved to be fruitful under the guidance of Dr. Manish Gupta (Dean Management), Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, BBA & B.COM), Ms. Nasreen Javed, Dr. Hitendra Shukla, Ms. Shilpi Dixit and Mr. Manmohan Bansal.
