GUEST LECTURE THROUGH VIDEO CONFERENCING ON HOW THE FINANCIAL MARKET WORKS
With a view to provide exposure to the students in the area of financial markets, Department of BBA and B.COM, organized a guest lecture through video conferencing on How the Financial and Stock Market Works on 21st November, 2019. The lecture was delivered by CA Sachin Agarwal (Technical Analyst and Full Time Trader in Stock Market) from Bombay Stock Exchange Institute Ltd. A financial market is a market in which people trade financial securities and derivatives at low transaction costs. Securities include stocks and bonds, and precious metals. The term market is sometimes used for what are more strictly exchanges, organizations that facilitate the trade in financial securities, e.g., a stock exchange or commodity exchange. This may be a physical location (such as the NYSE, LSE, JSE, BSE) or an electronic system (such as NASDAQ). Much trading of stocks takes place on an exchange; still, corporate actions (merger, spinoff) are outside an exchange, while any two companies or people, for whatever reason, may agree to sell stock from the one to the other without using an exchange. We extend our deep gratitude to CA Sachin Agarwal (Technical Analyst and Full Time Trader in Stock Market) from Bombay Stock Exchange Institute Ltd. who really made the students aware of the practical implications of financial and stock market. The lecture proved to be fruitful under the guidance of Prof. YDS Arya (Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Manish Gupta (Dean Management), Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (HOD, BBA and B.COM), Ms. Shweta and Mr. Saurabh Kumar.
