GUEST LECTURE ORGANISED BY DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING
In continuation to academia-industry coordination and for updation of students with various current industrial aspects Department of Civil Engineering organised a Guest lecture on "Structural Dynamics-An Overview" by Mr. Kaustubh Mani Sir, Senior Material Manager ,(IRSS Officer),Izzat Nagar,North Eastern Railways, on 19/10/2019 (Saturday) in Seminar Hall 2. The session started with divine lightning followed by vandana of Maa Saraswati by respected Dean engineering Dr. R.K. Shukla Sir, HOD Civil Engineering Arvind Kumar Sir, HOD education Dr. Avadhesh Sharma Sir,Dr, Sandip Dixit Sir,department faculties and invited speaker. Mr. Kaustubh Mani shared his experience of Structural Dynamics with young Civil Engineering buds of the university, and discuss the historical development of dynamic structures in an interactive manner, he explains the significance of vibrations in structural stability and methods to achieve it by the concept of the action- displacement, equilibrium and compatibility conditions, static and kinematic indeterminacies with external and internal mobility in structural engineering context, in questionnaire session guest speaker Mr. Mani answered the various questions asked by students on structural dynamics and also provide guidance for career and future opportunities in both public and private sector in which he gave valuable tips for preparation for central, state engineering services and PSUs to the students. Session started with the address of Dean Engineering Dr.R.K. Shukla Sir in which he emphasized on the importance of industrial interaction of students, he also motivate the students for developing effective management skills along with technical skills during the course,at the end he presented gifts to the invited speaker. Mr. Awdhesh Kumar (Asst. Prof.) expresses sincere thanks to invited speaker for providing such a nice opportunity to students for understanding the various aspects of dynamic structures on behalf of the Invertis university.
