GUEST LECTURE ON FINANCIAL PLANNING
5th April 2018, Department of BBA & B. COM, organized a guest
lecture for the students of second year of BBA, B.COM (H) and B.COM on
Financial Planning by Mr. Pankaj Goyal (CFA) from BSE Institute Ltd., New
Delhi. He is a graduate from Delhi University and is a certified CFA
professional. He is also a certified financial planner. He is a certified
trainer for “Chartered Wealth Manager” from American Academy of Financial Management.
He also has NSE and NISM certifications in all relevant modules to his credit.
lecture focused on the key concept of financial planning where students not
only understood the meaning of financial planning but also need of financial
planning in today’s competitive era. Financial
Planning is the process of estimating the capital required and determining its
competition. It is the process of framing financial policies in relation to
procurement, investment and administration of funds of an enterprise.
The lecture also acquainted students with the
different methods of investing the available money so as to get better and
profitable returns in future. Mr. Pankaj also focused on how much minimum
different age groups should save and invest so as to get handsome return in
future. Greater the age group of a person, more will be the amount of
investment that one has to make.
Finally, towards the end, students were also made
to do an activity, with the help of which they came to know, what type of
investor they are.

who really made the students aware of the need of financial planning. The
